Women are very much at the center of today’s culture wars, and no where is this more evident than in the latest abortion conflagration in Georgia over passage of the "heartbeat" bill. Commentary by Susan Brinkmann, OCDSIn spite of its low budget, a limited number of screens, an unexpected R rating, and the suspicious last- minute suspension of its Twitter account, the pro-life biopic, Unplanned, had a spectacular opening weekend at the box office, making it into the top five films.
A coalition of actors, media and faith leaders have published an open letter to the faith community in America urging parents not to let the R rating which was given to the pro-life movie, Unplanned, deter them from taking their teens to the theater to see this movie.
Another powerful new pro-life film, Unplanned, which is based on the true story of former Planned Parenthood clinic director, Abby Johnson, is scheduled to open in theaters in the Spring of 2019.
