In the past two weeks, the Catholic faithful have been handed a plate full of truly revolting fodder - a group of Catholic high schoolers were left undefended while being unjustly skewered by the press, and a so-called “Catholic” governor got away with a mere slap on the wrist for imposing a barbaric abortion law. Who wouldn’t be low on morale after being forced to swallow such disgusting fare?
Since the appointment of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, thus tilting the court’s make-up toward the pro-life position, more states are planning to impose laws that will greatly expand access to abortion under the guise of protecting a “woman’s right to choose.”

Neither New York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan nor Albany’s bishop Edward Scharfenberger are in support of excommunicating New York’s “Catholic” Governor Andrew Cuomo after he championed one of the most radical pro-abortion laws in the nation. However a respected Canon lawyer believes the governor's personal choice not to receive communion should now be made mandatory.

Thankfully, it failed to garner sufficient votes.

In a hard-hitting op-ed, Monsignor Charles Pope says the bishops need to do more than issue statements expressing sadness and ringing a church bell in mourning after the state’s Governor championed the most radical abortion bill in the country into law. Enough is enough. The time has come for real penalties.
Commentary by Susan Brinkmann, OCDSPro-abortion legislators claimed a major victory on the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade when they passed one of the most draconian abortion laws in the U.S. which essentially permits abortion at any time until birth, claims a child isn’t human until it’s born, eliminates protection for babies born alive after abortion, and allows non-physicians to perform the procedure.
In a major win for those who oppose the marketing of aborted fetal body parts, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals not only debunked claims that videos of abortion industry workers bartering over baby parts were “heavily edited,” but scolded Planned Parenthood for its rhetoric and medical practices.
On this 46th anniversary of the legalization of abortion in America, citizens across the country are remembering the more than 60 million innocent Americans - and one billion souls worldwide - who have lost their lives in this tragic holocaust.
