President Signs Executive Order Behind Closed Doors

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Journalist With only a handful of people on hand and no press allowed, President Barack Obama signed an executive order yesterday that supposedly promises not to use taxpayer funds for abortion under the new health care law. The secrecy of the signing ceremony sparked a rash of criticism that the White House was unable to defend.

U.S. Bishops Express “Apprehension” About New Health Care Reform
