Despite their rhetoric about wanting to protect women's rights, abortion hardliners showed their true colors yesterday when they defeated a bill that would ban sex-selection abortions that mostly target the female population.
In the wake of the Vatican's move to clean up the dissention in the ranks of the leaders of women religious in the U.S., the Leadership Council of Women Religious (LCWR) is considering letting go of its canonical recognition to become a voluntary organization.
In her vision to Saint Catherine Laboure, brilliant rays flowed from the jewels in the rings Our Lady wore on her fingers. The Blessed Mother explained to Saint Catherine:
"These rays symbolize the graces I shed upon those who ask for them. The gems from which rays do not fall are the graces for which souls forget to ask."
