Commentary by Susan Brinkmann, OCDSThe Obama Administration is going full tilt when it comes to pressuring Americans into accepting the idea of gender identity and is now pressuring hospitals who receive Medicare and Medicaid funds into providing services based on a patient’s perceived gender or risk losing their funding.
While speaking at a prayer breakfast in Washington on Tuesday, Cardinal Robert Sarah, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, said attacks on the family, including the forcing of same-sex marriage and transgender bathroom laws on society, are “demonic.”
In a statement issued in response to the government’s controversial “guidance” to schools on the use of bathrooms by transgenders, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is calling the move “deeply disturbing.”
