Feast of St. Irenaeus, Bishop and Martyr (130 - 200)
"Where there is order, there is also harmony, where there is harmony, there is also correct timing; where there is correct timing, there is also advantage."
-St. Irenaeus
Today's Reflection:
According to this quote, what is the relationship between order and correct advantage? How does this apply to the practical situations of everyday life and my spiritual life as well?

Feast of St. Cyril of Alexandria , Bishop (D. 444)
"That anyone could doubt the right of the holy Virgin to be called the Mother of God fills me with astonishment. Surely she must be the Mother of God if our Lord Jesus Christ is God, and she gave birth to him! Our Lord's disciples may not have used those exact words, but they delivered to us the belief those words enshrine, and this has also been taught us by the holy fathers."
- St. Cyril of Alexandria
Today's Reflection:
Consider the logic of St. Cyril of Alexandria regarding Mary's title of Mother of God. How does this increase my ability to communicate this truth to those who may object to this title?

AE writes about a "chiropractor" that she and her father have been seeing in California, a suspected illegal immigrant using the name Javier Lozano. They know little about the man except that he is married, goes to Mass weekly, works as a plumber during the day, and will accept only donations for his services. I will let AE describe what this "healer" does when she visits him.

CA writes: “I recently heard about a practice called Pow Wowing by the Pennsylvania Dutch. I am sure it is a bad idea. Would you post about this practice? There was a true murder story I saw on Prime Video called “Hex Hollow”. Someone was killed because they were thought to have put a hex on someone. The practice was called PowWow. I never heard of such a thing. Of course, they interviewed someone who claimed it was just a bunch of prayers, but I know it isn’t.”

Please do an article on Fr. Rolheiser, especially regarding his Holy Longing book. If you haven't read it, please do, I'm begging. He is so widespread and I see much that discomforts me in his writings.”
