Bishops Launch Fortnight for Freedom Campaign

The U.S. bishops have issued a call to action to defend religious liberty and are urging laity to work to protect the First Freedom of the Bill of Rights as well as participate in a "Fortnight for Freedom" from June 21, the feast day of St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, and ending on Independence Day to focus “all the energies the Catholic community can muster” on this issue.

The Facts Behind the Dutch Castration Story

Even though the media can't get enough of allegations that the Catholic Church may have surgically castrated "as many as 10 young men" in the 1950s, what most news stories aren't revealing is that it was the Dutch government who ordered the castration of over 400 men during the same time period as part of a eugenics program.

US Bishops Declare War on HHS Mandate

After a meeting of the Administrative Committee of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the bishops came out swinging with a bold new statement on the HHS Mandate, saying they are "united for religious freedom" and will not allow the administration to divide them or the media to distort the issue.
