Catholic League Urges Bush to Act Fast on New Conscience Protection Laws

Italian Nuns Refuse to Carry Out Court-Ordered Euthanasia

Last week the highest court of appeals in Italy ruled that the family of a woman who was left in a diminished state of consciousness after a car accident in 1992 can remove her food and hydration tube, thus ending her life. However, the nuns who run the hospice where the woman lives have refused to carry out the order.

U.S. Taxpayers To Fund Coercive Abortion Programs

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Writer Countries around the world are expressing outrage over the brutal treatment of a pregnant woman by Chinese authorities who were trying to force her to have an abortion. At the same time, President-elect Barack Obama is considering the reversal of an Executive Order that will allow money to once again flow to organizations that support these and other draconian “family planning” programs.

Pro-Choice Catholic Leaders Protest Bishops’ Abortion Stance
