Couldn't have known that, because of her "yes" to God, the gates of heaven would be thrown open through the gift of redemptive grace....It must have been like any other day, that particular day when the fullness of time had arrived. Perhaps rain streamed from the skies like so many bands of gray ribbon. Or perhaps the sun shone with a fierce intensity that penetrated the cold layers of mankind's heart. In the midst of that ordinary day the brilliance of heaven lit the sky and an angelic being stood before her.
