All To All

gracelinesheader

“Mary became all to all; to all she offersMary, OurLadyQueenofHeaven the bosom of her mercy, that all may receive of it; the slave, his redemption; the infirm, health; the afflicted, comfort; the sinner, pardon; and God, glory – that there should be no one who would not feel her warmth and great affection.”

                       -St Bernardine of Siena

For Reflection:

How has Mary become my all? Do I relate to any of the descriptions contained in this quote? May Mary be my warmth and great affection.

And to Peter in particular it was (Jesus) said: 'Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.  But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not; and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.'  This is a reference to the second conversion of Peter, which will take place at the end of the Passion, immediately after his denial.  It is to the second conversion that the greater part of this book will be devoted.
