“In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
-Galatians 5:22-23
Reflection:
Are we being as patient with ourselves as well as those around us by using the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the grace available to us to create the fruits of the Holy Spirit – the characteristics of Christ and His Mother, Mary and all the heavenly saints? Do we begin anew each day with the hope of doing better, all for the love of God?
Section Four: St John Vianney said, "The devil only tempts those souls that wish to abandon sin and that are in a state of grace. The others belong to him; he has no need to tempt them." Based on this quote, what can I expect as I enter into the habit of a particular examination? To what extent will this "advanced warning" help me in my quest?
