Same-sex marriage has already forced the Church out of the adoption business in many U.S. states where the unions are sanctioned, but it is now threatening to force the Church out of the marriage business too, says Archbishop Barry Hickey of the Archdiocese of Perth, Australia, who says he'll stop performing marriages altogether if forced to conduct the unions.

A recent poll has found that nearly half of all Americans are in favor of a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, while a majority believe the issue should be handled by the states, not the federal government.
A Facebook campaign has been mounted by homosexual activists to pressure PBS into allowing the two most famous Sesame Street characters, Bert and Ernie, to get married as a way of showing children that same-sex marriage is normal.

Insiders say a bill to legalize same-sex marriage in New York is just one vote short of passing and could come to the floor for a vote as early as Thursday of this week.
Cardinal Donald Wuerl of the Archdiocese of Washington DC is warning Catholics to stay away from a new booklet produced by the controversial New Ways Ministry which advocates "marriage equality" for same-sex couples because it is not based on Church teaching.
The usual demand by proponents of same-sex marriage for "equality" fell flat last week as the French Constitutional Council, the county's equivalent of the U.S. Supreme Court, ruled that there is nothing unequal about upholding the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman.
