Forget #MeToo. The Kavanaugh Debacle is All About Roe

Don’t be fooled by the posturing of lawmakers and pundits who claim the battle over the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is about seeking justice for the woman who accused him of sexual assault in high school. This war has nothing to do with that alleged incident. It’s all about Roe.

In this hard-hitting commentary appearing in The Stream, Jennifer Hartline sets the record straight by reminding readers that the same people who are demanding “justice” for Kavanaugh accuser Dr. Christine Ford were conspicuously silent when it came to demanding justice for other women who were assaulted by high ranking officials.

Remember Bill Clinton who committed adultery in the Oval Office and has been credibly accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women – all of which occurred when he was a married adult, not an immature teen, Hartline points out. As we all know, Clinton is a well-respected leader today.

“That undying support is also extended to Hillary Clinton whose ‘women should be believed’ motto only applies to certain women, provided they are accusing the right man,” Hartline reminds.

And let’s not forget the “Lion of the Senate,” Ted Kennedy, who literally left a woman to drown and yet spent decades being adored as a Democratic hero.

It's a pattern that just keeps repeating itself. For example, Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota was recently credibly accused of domestic abuse and instead of jumping to the defense of the accuser and demanding her right to be heard, his party smeared her name and even threatened her.

“I've been smeared, threatened, isolated from my own party," Karen Francis Monahan told Fox News two days ago. "I provided medical records from 2017, stating on two different Dr. Visits, I told them about the abuse and who did it. My therapist released records stating I have been dealing and healing from the abuse.”

Where are all the calls for an FBI Investigation and special hearings? Crickets.

“No, I don’t believe for a nanosecond that the Democrats care one whit about Kavanaugh’s innocence or guilt. Their moral indignation is phonier than a $3 dollar bill,” she writes.

“This is about abortion. It’s about the larger sexual ideology as well, but abortion first and foremost. This is about nothing more than demolishing a candidate for the Supreme Court whom they did not choose, and who poses a serious threat to their golden idol. Abortion is both sacrament and god.”

Hartline goes on to describe the repulsive behavior of abortion supporters during the Kavanaugh hearings. “Screaming women raving like lunatics about one thing: abortion-on-demand. At the thought that they may not be able to extinguish the natural results of their sexual encounters, that the child they help create is a human being they are obligated to protect, the pelvic Left becomes absolutely unhinged. Unhinged is even too inadequate a word. It’s like the behavior of demons about to be exorcised.”

This is the behavior of people who believe sexual pleasure without cost is a must and nothing should matter more than sexual gratification, which is all due to the fact that “the god of the groin is perpetually unsatisfied and greedy,” Hartline says.

She goes on to quote Psalm 106: 36-39: “They served their idols, which became a snare to them. They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood. Thus they became unclean by their acts, and played the harlot in their doings.”

She goes on to draw a chilling comparison between the abortions of today and those that happened in ancient times when unwanted newborns were left to rot on the hillsides for prey to devour.

“So the modern sophisticated pagans want to continue exposing the unwanted child to birds of prey on a rock in the midday sun.” The only difference to day is that unwanted babies are now being picked apart by vultures in lab coats.

She concludes: “They don’t hate Brett Kavanaugh because of anything he may have done over thirty years ago. Any transgression can be forgiven if fervent devotion to abortion is manifest. They hate Kavanaugh because they love abortion and he does not. Hell hath no fury like ‘women’s rights’ scorned.”
