Blessed Assurance

gracelinesheader

We do not want you to be unaware,Feast AllSoulsDay3 brothers, about those who have fallen asleep, so that you may not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose, so too will God, through Jesus, bring with him those who have fallen asleep.

                          -1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

For Reflection:

We indeed have hope! What blessed assurance – this is a great consolation to know we will always be with the Lord and, so, too, our loved ones who have gone before us.

St Therese first read this book in May of 1887, when she was only fourteen years old.  she told us that it immersed her in a happiness not of this world.  It gave her a presentiment of what God reserves eternally for those who love Him.
