Jugis, head of the diocese of Charlotte, issued a statement expressing his shock over the conduct of parents at last week's assembly at Charlotte Catholic High School who reacted with "uncharitableness and disrespect" over the hosting of a speaker who addressed Catholic teaching on sexual morality that some students found offensive.

High Court in Philippines Rules in Favor of Controversial Law

After 14 months of political and legal wrangling, the Supreme Court of the Philippines has ruled that a controversial reproductive health law is constitutional except for eight provisions that deal mostly with protecting  people of faith who conscientiously object to the law.
