Trusting even to audacity

October 2

"Sanctity is an interior disposition which makes us humble and little in God's arms, conscious of our weakness and trusting even to audacity in the goodness of our Father."

-St. Thérèse of Lisieux

Today's Reflection:

The practice of the Little Way of Spiritual Childhood is not just something we do, it’s what we are. Thérèse’s way is much more of an attitude than a pious path. What is my attitude toward God? Do I see Him as a Father from Whom I do not need to hide my littleness because I trust in in His mercy. Do I need to pray for the grace to adopt this attitude more fully?

Dear Thérèse, please pray for me that I might approach God as I am — a weak soul who has nothing to offer Him but a heart full of love and trust in His mercy.
