"My life hasn’t been bitter, because I knew how to turn all bitterness into something joyful and sweet."
-St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Today's Reflection:
When we suffer for someone we love, the suffering is still painful, but it is somehow sweeter. Because Thérèse saw everything that happened to her as coming from the hand of God Who loved her, there was something sweet to be found in every moment of life, even the painful ones. Am I able to discern the loving hand of God in the darker events of my life? Do I even try?
St. Thérèse, pray for me that in those painful moments of life, I will be able to see the hand of God working for my good, in spite of how it might feel at the moment.
