“Peace be with you all! Beloved brothers and sisters, this is the first greeting of the Risen Christ, the Good Shepherd who has given his life for the flock of God. I, too, would like this greeting of peace to enter your hearts, reach your families, to all people, wherever they may be, to all peoples, to all the earth. Peace be with you!”
-Pope Leo XIV (first words as pope)
Today’s Reflection:
Christ’s first gift after the Resurrection was peace, a peace deeper than fear, sorrow, or division. Pope Leo XIV echoed this same greeting, reminding us that Christ’s peace is meant to reach every heart and every home. Where in your life do you most need to welcome the peace of Christ today?
