Preaching the Good News

August 24

August 24

Feast of St. Bartholomew, Apostle

“It was clear through unlearned men that the cross was persuasive, in fact, it persuaded the whole world.

                                                                        -St. John Chrysostom

Today's Reflection:

Dear St. Bartholomew, After the ascension of Our Lord, you went to India to preach the good news where you attained the crown of martyrdom. Pray for me that I might have the courage and holy zeal to preach the Gospel when it is convenient and when it is not. May I be inspired by your example today and always.  Amen
