Dozens of Frozen Fetuses Found in Doctor's Freezer

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Journalist Police investigating a doctor who involved in the death of a woman during an abortion in his office, made a horrifying discovery during a search of his clinic – dozens of frozen embryos – some as old as 30 years – found in a freezer. CBS3 is reporting that Philadelphia police, along with State Licensing officials and DEA agents, raided the office of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, an ob-gyn and family doctor after a woman died during an abortion at the facility on Nov. 20. Dr. Gosnell’s license was suspended after authorities found the conditions in his office to be “deplorable and unsanitary.” According to the suspension order, “There was blood on the floor, and parts of aborted fetuses were displayed in jars.” During the same search, more than two dozen fetuses were found stored in a freezer, some dating back 30 years. These remains are being analyzed to determine if illegal late-term abortions may have been performed on the premises. This is not the first time Dr. Gosnell found himself in trouble with the law. In 1995, he was publicly reprimanded by the State Licensing Board for employing a physician’s assistant who was not properly treated. The woman who died after having an abortion at his office last November, was given 10 mg. of Demerol and 12.5 mg. of promethazine for pain, but was given more medication when she began to experience cramping. Shortly after the abortion, she “started to have arrhythmia and then went into V-fib (ventricular fibrillation),” the suspension order stated. “She was taken to an unnamed hospital, where she was pronounced dead.” Thus far, Dr. Gosnell has not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing. The investigation is ongoing. © All Rights Reserved, Living His Life Abundantly®/Women of Grace®  http://www.womenofgrace.com
