The country's premier media watchdog has sent letters to all major news outlets demanding that they report on the rampant anti-Semitism that has been repeatedly caught on video at Occupy Wall Street (OWS) events and yet continues to be ignored by the mainstream media.
The Media Research Center (MRC) has sent certified overnight letters to the presidents of ABC News, CBS News, CNN and NBC News demanding that their networks report racism demonstrated at the protests.
"The Jews commit more white collar crime than any other ethnic group on the earth, and they go unprosecuted because they can buy their way out of it," and "Whenever there's a billion dollar fraud, there's a Jew involved" are just two of the racist smears clearly shouted by Occupy Wall Street protestors.
" There have been other documented examples of anti-Semitism at these Occupy Wall Street events," says MRC president Brent Bozell in the letter to CNN. " But thus far the national networks are turning a blind eye to them.
"On the other hand, the networks have been obsessed with alleged racist smears by members of the tea party, and this includes CNN. On March 22, 2010 on CNN Newsroom, Anchor Kyra Phillips reported: “Democrats ecstatic, Republicans not so much, as the long road of reform comes to an end. But that road was filled with ugly potholes -- the N word shouted at African-American lawmakers....”
None of these allegations was ever corroborated, Bozell reminds. " . . . (T)here's not a scintilla of video or audio evidence to back them up. But still it qualified as news for CNN."
"Now we have Occupy Wall Street and real, documented evidence of anti-Semitic slurs coming from an OWS participant," he writes, and offers free access to the video. " You cannot maintain you didn’t know it."
In all four letters, Bozell demands that the networks report this to the American public. "If you choose not to, your network will be guilty of a glaring double standard: reporting baseless accusations of racism coming from the Tea Party as news; but not reporting documented evidence of anti-Semitism coming from the OWS crowd. If you choose not to report this you are deliberately covering up an act of anti-semitism."
It remains to be seen if the networks, whose editors and reporters are rigidly aligned with the liberal agenda, will exercise fair and balanced journalism or continue to behave as nothing more than a propaganda machine.
