"The Lord is often pleased to give wisdom to little ones."
-St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Today's Reflection:
Sometimes it is the smallest and most innocent heart that is the most capable of absorbing the wisdom of God because in this soul there is found no selfishness or pretense. Why does God usually reveal His mysteries to souls such as these rather than to the learned or those who believe themselves to be more worthy of His favors? Could it be because the little soul is more willing to turn to Him for help? How willing am I to turn to God for the help I need—or do I try too hard to do it myself?
St. Thérèse, you teach us that there is a certain kind of wisdom that only comes from love. Pray for me that my heart may be stripped of all pride so that I may be open to all that God wants to do through me.
