doTERRA & Essential Oil Quality

A writes: “I have a question about the company doTerra. I use essential oils on a limited basis on myself and in my practice. I love to use peppermint and eucalyptus to open up the sinuses and for relieving headaches. And many of my clients love the scent of lavender and lemon which seems to help them relax and "settle into" the massage. I have recently begun questioning the integrity of the oils that I have been using, and have made the switch to buying doTerra oils. I have discussed this with my GP and she advised that I stay away from the blends, but that the single oils are of good quality. Do you know anything about the company and its founders? I have heard they are Mormon and use some of the proceeds for charities."

She calls them angel cards & is very insistent about wanting to do cards to "help" everyone. This has been the cause of much anxiety for us. I have already said how I feel about this. Concerns About "Spirit Animals" Series

spirit animalsLR writes: “Our 10 yr old grand daughter attends Catholic school and apparently the series Spirit Animal has been available for the students to peruse. She has purchased and is reading one of these books. Personally I feel she could be reading much more edifying literature and have expressed this to her parent. Can these books and games be dangerous and is there more I can or should do?”

Yoga at CURVES

curves logoMR writes: “I am careful to avoid yoga but these balance classes have been incorporated recently into our CURVES circuit. Originally, the gym manager said they were yoga. When I said I objected to yoga, she quickly changed her tune and called them "balance" classes. They seem to incorporate "tree poses" and other yoga like positions. I am wondering if you have heard about this, have some thoughts about this. All positions are standing but I am not comfortable if it is truly yoga. Any thoughts?"
