UK Couple Being Run Out of Business by Homosexual Activists

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Journalist Homosexual activists are targeting the Christian owners of a UK Bed & Breakfast who refused to provide a room to a same-sex couple, using hate speech, threatening letters and bogus reviews to ruin their business. LifeSiteNews is reporting that Peter and Hazelmary Bull who run the Chymorvah Private Hotel from their home, were taken to court by a homosexual couple where they were fined 3,600 pounds ($5800) by the Equality and Human Rights Commission for breaching sexual orientation regulations. Since the verdict, activist groups have launched a hate campaign against the couple who say their phone never stops ringing with irate callers. They even called the hospital where Peter Bull was recovering from heart surgery, forcing the medical staff to give a special password to family and friends. In addition, blasphemous and obscene emails are pouring into their website. In addition to the personal harrassment, the Bulls business has also been attacked by extremely negative reviews of their business that are suddenly showing up on travel websites. Mrs. Bull knows the reviews are phony because the writers claimed to have stayed at the guesthouse during the winter, when it is closed. “I was moved nearly to tears when I saw the reviews. I pride myself on cleanliness and we work so hard to provide a good experience for people,” Mrs. Bull told the Telegraph. “We’re taking legal advice, but the one thing I do know is that we will not go against God’s teachings in the Bible. I’m not anti-gay. I’m not anti-sex … I just believe it should be contained within marriage," she said. "To me, a civil partnership is not the same as a marriage. And you know it’s not just gay people I won’t allow to share a bed, it’s unmarried heterosexuals, too. I’ve turned away dozens of couples down the years.” Even more disturbing is evidence showing that their establishment may have been deliberately targeted by an activist group known as Stonewall. Apparently, the couple who tried to book a room showed up only a month after the Bulls received a threatening letter from Stonewall demanding that they change their policy or risk being sued. In the meantime, the Bulls are appealing the ruling and say they are being driven out of business by a “hate campaign.” “I think we always knew as Christians that society would reach a point where civil partnerships would be regarded in the same light as marriages – despite the assurances of the government – and now it has happened. I feel very sad that we are being persecuted and marginalized for our beliefs,” said Mrs. Bull. © All Rights Reserved, Living His Life Abundantly®/Women of Grace®  http://www.womenofgrace.com
