(Program 14275) Bishop Fulton J. Sheen: A Saint for Our Time
Guest: Fr. Andrew Apostoli
Fr. Andrew Apostoli shares his personal experiences with Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. "On March 16, 1967, Bishop Sheen ordained me, 'A priest forever', while serving as the bishop of the diocese of Rochester, New York. Not only was he God's instrument to confer the priesthood upon me, but he was also God's instrument in showing me, by his words and example, how to be a priest close to the heart of Jesus. At the end of the homily he gave at my ordination Mass, the archbishop said, 'The joy of being a priest will grow'; how prophetic were his words."
