In Galatians 2:20, St. Paul cries out, “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ Jesus lives in me.”

With these words, St. Paul perfectly describes the fulfillment of the spiritual life – union with God, a union so acute and so complete that the soul is totally infused, imbued, with the Divine Life itself.
 

What are the signs, characteristics, and realities of this divine intimacy? And is attainment of it something that every human person should aspire to receive?
