Couples begin their married life looking forward to a life of commitment, mutual fidelity, and joy. But, all too often they find themselves among the 50% of marriages that end, with all the pain and heartache that accompanies it. This week, we are going to talk about the toxic and difficult emotions that are part of the divorce experience, how hope and healing can be attained, and what it can be like to be a divorced Catholic in particular. But, first we will discover the markers and indicators that can help us know if a relationship has the potential for a strong and lasting union, or one most likely doomed to failure.
