(Program 14433) In February 1858 a young French peasant girl received the first of eighteen apparitions of a beautiful Lady dressed in a white gown with a blue sash. The young girl's name was Bernadette Soubirous. The beautiful Lady identified herself as the Immaculate Conception. 150 years later, the grotto in Lourdes, France, continues to draw millions of pilgrims every year - because of its healing waters which have affected verified cures, but also because of something else - the hope & joy engendered in the hearts of those who travel there. Some of them experience the answer to their prayer in the way they seek it; all of them, however, find the waters to be a spring of hope which enable them to embrace their trial with courage & strength, peace & joy.
