14412 - Dating, Mating, and Contraception
(Program 14412) Our program discusses an adult theme & may not be suitable for younger children. For better than forty years, women have had access to the birth control pill – a potent drug primarily used to control her reproductive cycle. Touted as a way of freeing woman from the possibility of conception, the birth control pill has had an impact that has redefined the ways in which men & women relate to each other as sexual beings. Is there a relationship between chemical contraception & a man’s attraction to a woman? Has the birth control pill caused a change in the social behavior of men & women? Can the birth control pill affect a woman’s decision making ability in her selection of a future husband? Is there a sub-conscious component that causes men & women to be attracted to each other? Does the pill interrupt that component? Interestingly, the answer to all these questions is, “yes”.
