14473 - The Catholic Leader

3/1/2010

(Program 14473) To be a leader means that we know who we are and what we are about. It means we seek ways to influence and guide others even as we are influenced and guided beyond ourselves. It means we are willing to make a decision, stay the course, and finish strong. It means we are willing to admit a mistake, seek advice and counsel, and change direction if necessary. But above all, to be a leader, especially a Catholic leader, it means we are willing to serve - those entrusted to us and the One who made the entrustment, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Here to talk with us about Catholic leadership, and to help us develop and hone our leadership skills are Dr. Owen Phelps and Mark Motzel. Dr. Phelps is a writer, college professor, master catechist, and trainer. Mark Motzel is a President and Co-founder of Tesserae Development Company. A former Vice President with American Express in Minneapolis, Mark is a presenter of The Havard Virtuous Leadership Institute based on the book, Virtuous Leadership, written by Alexandre Havard.
