Our guest today reminds us of an important fact – in the early days of Christianity, there were no bibles. Rather, early Christians encountered Scripture within the context of the liturgy, which was the home of, and the interpretive lens for, Sacred Scripture, as presented by the Fathers of the Church. Today, he’ll take us back to those early church days some fifteen or twenty centuries ago, to show us how and why, then and now, Scripture is only understood through the life of the Church and most especially through the liturgy.
