Looking out upon our cultural landscape, you may be wondering what on earth is going on? Values, principles, ideals, and the very foundation upon which Western civilization rests – not to mention the ethos upon which the American Republic was founded and built – seem to be quaking and crumbling before our eyes.   We hear a variety of new words and phrases and wonder if the terms stand alone or hang together as a whole – words like “woke,” “critical theory and critical race theory,” “intersectionality,” “standpoint positionality,” “whiteness,” “cancel culture, “and “racial essentialism.”  We’ve watched as our school classrooms are more indoctrination centers instead of places where academic learning happens. Television programs, advertisements, news stories, and more seem to be overlaid with a political innuendo or a not-so-nuanced social agenda. And to top it off, what once would put you behind bars is sanctioned and that which is well within the law can get you into hot water or even worse. In our program today, we’ll begin to clear up the mystery as we dig into the roots of what is really going on.
