In every day and time, God raises up great saints who reflect His face to the world, manifest a path that leads to union with Him, and demonstrate a virtuous response to the issues of the day and life’s sufferings. These saints remind us that no matter the challenge, no matter the trial, no matter the travails and contentions of their generation, holiness is possible and is the only antidote to the spiritual and social ills plaguing the moment.
