As we have come to learn in this Women of Grace series, The Witness of Early Christian Women with guest Mike Aquilina, women were considered inferior to men in all ways but especially intellectually inferior. Few and far between was the woman who was regarded for her wisdom and knowledge in the pagan society of that day and time.

But, within the Christian community, things were different. Women were not considered to be stupid or perpetual children. And, a significantly higher number of women were regarded and renowned for their erudite poetry and teaching. Who were those women and what can they teach us?
