Sometimes we muse that it would be absolutely wonderful if God would, from His heavenly throne, simply issue a divine mandate and make everything joyful, pleasant, and peaceful in our world and in our lives. In fact, I think we all pray for that from time to time.

But, as history has shown, this is not God’s ordinary modus operandi. Generally speaking, He gives us the grace to make the changes we need to make and, as we change, so does the world around us.

But the good news is this: we don’t do it alone. The Blessed Virgin Mary is with us to instruct us and mother us through the process.
