We’re all familiar with the first Pentecost of the Church recorded by St. Luke in Acts of the Apostles. The disciples of Christ, along with the Blessed Mother and some other holy women, were gathered in the Upper Room in obedience to Jesus’ command.

They were praying in anticipation of the Paraclete. I often wonder if they had any idea what was in store for them. Perhaps Our Lady, who had experienced the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit at the Annunciation, was preparing them.

A mighty wind rushed in, tongues as of fire appeared over their heads, and the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit began to manifest in them! 3000 were converted that day because of their testimony.

Today’s guest experienced something similar in mid-February, 1967. He, too, was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, and the gifts the Spirit brings were manifested in him as well. And, like the apostles, his testimony has led thousands, millions, of others to fullness of life in Christ Jesus.

His name is David Mangan and he is going to share his story with us and speak particularly to us about one of the charismatic gifts, Words of Knowledge.
