We shouldn’t be surprised that a singular action of the Holy Spirit could revolutionize and transform the lives of a small group of people who would then go on and do the same in the lives of millions of others through His guidance and leading.
We have only to look at the early Church to see that it’s happened before. But, nonetheless, it is a stunning thing to consider much less witness.
Even more stunning, of course, would be if you were one of those persons to whom and through whom it all happened! And we have just such a person with us today. She is Patti Gallagher Mansfield, one of the students who attended the now famous Duquesne Weekend during which the Catholic Charismatic Renewal within the Catholic Church was born.
