As Catholics we delight in the gift that God gives us through the Sacramental Life of the Church. The Baltimore Catechism succinctly defines for us what a sacrament is. It tells us that a sacrament is an outward sign instituted by Christ to give us grace.

Sacraments then, are the primary means through which God invites us to participate in the divine life itself.
