One dictionary defines the word transgender to mean noting or relating to a person whose gender identity does not correspond to that person’s biological sex assigned at birth.
While it has been the stance of the medical and mental health community to treat individuals suffering from gender identity confusion as patients or clients in need of care, today our culture is embracing the erroneous notion that there are more than two sexes.

Here to discuss this with us and help us understand the theologial, moral, social, biological, psychological and philosophical implications of this new cultural tenet is Colin Donovan, Vice President of Theology here at EWTN.
