You recall the story of Sleeping Beauty? The evil witch Maleficent is jealous of Princess Aurora, and curses her to die on her 16th birthday.

Thanks to Aurora's fairy godmothers, she doesn’t die, but falls into a deep sleep from which only a kiss from her betrothed, Prince Phillip, can awaken her.

To thwart his attempt, Maleficent kidnaps the bonny Phillip, imprisons him, but is once again foiled by the fairy godmothers who come to the rescue.

The princely kiss is bestowed, Aurora awakens, and prince and princess live happily ever after. Ahhh.

A great story to be sure but one replete with more than meets the eye according to our guest for this series.
