In St. John’s gospel Jesus reminds us that he is the vine, we are the branches, and his Father is the vinedresser. And that if we abide in him, and his words abide in us, ask whatever we want and it will be done for us.

What does Jesus mean by this analogy? What does it mean to abide in Christ and to have his word abide in us?
