One of my favorite passages in Sacred Scripture is Romans 8: 28. In this verse, St. Paul tells us that God works all things to the good for those who are called according to his purposes. All things, we may ask? Yes, all things indeed. Even ridicule, scorn, hatred, prejudice, injustice.

Our guest knows this passage well and has come to see its truth in his own life. Son of a sharecropper, picker of cotton and soy beans in the Southern US at the age of 7, mocked and harassed throughout high school because of his color, and recipient of the grace of forgiveness and mercy, he proclaims that nothing is impossible with God.

Today, he continues to share with us his journey from hatred to healing, from healing to forgiveness, from forgiveness to new life.
