“…daughter, your faith has saved you, go in peace.” Luke 8:48

The story in the Gospel of Luke about the hemorrhaging woman, afflicted for twelve years, unable to be cured by anyone, ends in her total healing after she reaches out to touch Jesus’ garment! Her bleeding stopped immediately. The woman's faith in Jesus is so strong and evident by her action. She trusted that if she could get close enough to touch only His garment, her physical ailment would be healed through His power. We too need to seek Jesus with that same expectant faith, in total trust and surrender, for healing the emotional and psychological wounds of our hearts, knowing that through Him ALL things are possible. Even the most difficult of circumstances, memories, losses, reversals, difficulty in forgiveness and pains of childhood, that can create these ‘heart wounds,’ CAN be healed! When we are healed, we grow in holiness and in greater union with Our Lord, Jesus Christ, which ultimately leads to our salvation! Join us for our summer Women of Grace Retreat “Go Deeper: Healing the Wounds of the Heart,” at the Malvern Retreat House, July 21st-23rd! Learn what a ‘heart wound’ is, what creates them, and how to begin going about the healing process, and understand the importance of forgiveness and the power of the sacraments and the mass. The weekend includes presentations with Johnnette Williams and Father Ken Geraci, CPM, music with Women at the Well, daily mass, prayer, confession, a Saturday Evening Healing Service, accommodations, meals, and fellowship with sisters in Christ! Come, learn, and be healed!

Helpful Tools

Event Speakers

  • Johnnette Benkovic Williams

Johnnette Benkovic Williams is Founder and President of Women of Grace®, a Catholic apostolate for women featuring a number of outreaches including conferences, media, study groups and more.

After years of being a non-practicing Catholic, Johnnette experienced a deep conversion back to her Catholic faith in 1981. Her conversion sparked a new vocation: sharing the Gospel message through the utilization of media. She has been an inspiring and consistent presence on EWTN Catholic radio and EWTN Catholic television for over 30 years.
  • Father Ken Geraci, CPM

Fr. Ken Geraci, CPM, lived the life of the prodigal son for most of his young adult life. Raised in a nominally Catholic family, who only lived the externals of the faith, Fr. Ken left the Catholic Church for many years. During that time he earned a business degree and worked as a business profession in Advanced R&D and software testing; a few years into his career he joined a few of his co-workers in establishing a $4.5 million Internet software company. Focused on money, fitness, and success, he made little room for God; but God did not give up on him. During this journey, God presented him with challenges that forced him to question his personal beliefs and the question “What is Truth?” Through a series of conversions, years of struggle, study and questioning, Fr. Ken found his way from agnosticism, to non-denominational Christianity, and ultimately back to the Catholic Church.

Fr. Ken joined the Fathers of Mercy in 2006 and was ordained in 2012. For two years, he served as an associate pastor of a medium sized parish and currently serves as a Missionary, webmaster and vocation director for the Fathers of Mercy. Fr. Ken has a great understanding of the personal and societal pressures that individuals face and knows what it is like to “hate coming to church.” His mission talks are for people of all levels of faith; from those who are madly in love with Jesus to those who struggle with church and religion.
