We have no idea how our example in moments of excruciating travail will affect others. No idea how our cooperation with grace will hold others firm in their time of deepest suffering. And so it was for the Blessed Mother. Could she have known that her own time of passion would inspire and give strength to generations to come? Could she have known that millions would turn to her in their darkest hour? That they would implore her help or seek her maternal intercession? Who sustained her? Whose aid did she seek? How was her prayer answered?
