Mention Christmas and any number of memories come to my mind, some of which tickle my nose and my ears. The scent of candles and incense at Holy Mass, the beauty of carols sung by the choir, the laughter of children opening presents, the aroma of food cooking and sweets baking, the pungent scent of pine from the tree, and the crackling sounds of wood burning in the fireplace.

But most of all, my memory is filled with the family and friends that heard and smelled all of Christmas with me, and the gratitude of heart for the love of God who sent His Son for me.

Today, Barbara Padilla is going to share her family traditions and memories with us, and how it is that Christmas unites us together in the mystical body of Christ. Let’s welcome international opera singer, Barbara Padilla.
