There are moments in the spiritual life when a soul is mystically taken into the heart of a great mystery of faith. Such was the case with Blessed Teresa of Calcutta when the burning thirst of Jesus for love of souls, His thirst on the cross, flooded her being. In this interior knowing and tasting, Blessed Teresa was united with Our Lady as well who, from her stance at the foot of the cross, experienced every agony Our Lord suffered. Such was the foundation for Blessed Teresa’s union with the Blessed Mother and her Son.
