Hosting: Elena Rodríguez, sitting in for Johnnette Benkovic

Guest: Sue Brinkmann, staff journalist & researcher for www.womenofgrace.com

A U.S. District Court Judge rules—June 17th—against EWTN on its lawsuit against the Health and Human Services Mandate. The Supreme Court will soon deliver its decision on the Hobby Lobby/Conestoga Wood Specialties lawsuit and the legal battle of the Little Sisters of the Poor is still on—after they received protection, but only temporarily.

Elena Rodríguez sits in for Johnnette Benkovic and talks to Sue Brinkmann about the challenges to Religious Freedom and the legal battles in court right now, especially the very recent dismissal EWTN suffered.

Will EWTN walk away from the legal battle to uphold its deeply held religious beliefs? Listen to Elena and Sue answer that question, as they cite the facts and explain what is at stake. They share other news stories, including the happy coincidence of the relics of St. John Paul II present at the opening Mass for the Fortnight for Freedom and they also discuss the persecution of our Catholic Bishops as they thrive to stand up for Religious Liberties at the March for Marriage in Washington, DC. Listener Jake calls in to join the discussion.

He introduces himself as a faith-practicing catholic and also as a homosexual. Listen to the exchange between Sue and Jake. Elsewhere in the show, caller Lisa asks Sue about the risks of martial arts. Her son likes martial arts, but Lisa wonders if that is good, bad or indifferent for his spiritual life. Sue also gets a call from Leroy in Wyoming, who practices martial arts and he challenges Sue. We are here for you and with you on Women of Grace, from EWTN Radio.
