On today WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Williams shares the live of St. Vincent de Paul. This means a lot to Johnnette since that is where she went to Catholic school and the seeds of her faith were planted. These seeds grew to a love of her faith. These seeds give us many gifts including humility and defense of our faith. If we want to be like the Saints we need to be in the light of the Lord and out of the shadows. We grow in the light of Christ’s peace and joy. Obedience helps us to grow to the will of our Father … and we all have a long way to go!

Caller Cindy loves St. Vincent de Paul and wants to know how we are to deal with the poor and homeless beggars on the street. She wants to help but know of times when they are better cars than she does and they make a living begging. Johnnette suggests praying for them and giving to a charity that will help them. Many may have addictions. She also said if you feel comfortable you can take them to a restaurant and buy them food . Caller Rachel shared a story she had of dealing with a homeless man named John. She told him she would be back with items for him.

When she returned the police were there thinking he was loitering but she stopped them and give John the items of food and toiletries – he cried and they all prayed together. Rachel asked how many times Jesus has waited for us when we told Him we would come back. The tears of joy He must have when we come to Him.
