Host: Johnnette Benkovic

Caller Karen is terrified about death and asks when do we have our final judgment. That comes up later, but first listener Ann’s niece and nephew just had a miscarriage. They are upset with God. How can Ann better help them deal with death? On this very special “Women of Grace” episode, Elena Rodríguez sits in for Johnnette Benkovic to talk to Fr. Mark Mary Cristina, MFVA about the Church’s teaching on death and dying. We bring you this show as Johnnette’s very particular wish to address this topic right now, since her own Mom—Mrs. Johnnette Simon—is very much near death, herself. We offer this whole show as an active prayer for our dear Johnnette, her Dad, very especially for her dying Mom and for the rest of the family. Caller Delores recommends to call a priest if you are pregnant and fear you might lose your child.

She also says she will pray a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for Johnnette’s Mom. Listener Peter asks how can we help the people we leave behind when we die? He says a beautiful prayer on the air for Johnnette’s Mom. Caller Nancy is a regional coordinator for Women of Grace in New Jersey and has worked with Johnnette and witnesses it is very much like Johnnette to reach out to all her listenership for prayers at a difficult time like this and in the spirit of the communion of saints.

Listener Esther gives witness to the power of faith and prayer as she recently went through her husband’s death. Caller Mike is a professional truck driver and discovered a person’s remains. What can he do as a layperson? It’s an encouraging, soothing and peaceful episode of EWTN Radio’s “Women of Grace.”
