  • Kris McGregor

    Kris McGregor is the Founder and Executive Director of Discerning Hearts®, an innovator in producing podcasts, radio broadcasts, and written content that adhere to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and its profound spiritual tradition. Kris's programs are featured on the Spirit Catholic Radio and Iowa Catholic Radio Networks and in international markets, including England, Australia, and New Zealand. She is a frequent contributor on EWTN Radio and Relevant Radio and has co-hosted the "Kresta in the Afternoon" radio show with her husband, Bruce McGregor.

    Kris offers insightful commentary on the lives of St. Catherine of Siena, St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and St. Francis de Sales in the Eternal Word Television Network's series "The Doctors of the Church." She has authored articles for the National Catholic Register and Angelus magazine, a publication of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Additionally, Kris has penned numerous forewords for books on the spiritual life, most recently for "Women Mystics" by Fr. Louis Bouyer, published by Ignatius Press.

    She has led numerous spiritual retreats with Fr. Timothy Gallagher and Dr. Anthony Lilles. In the past, she has served as Director of Religious Education and Director of Liturgy in several large parishes in her Archdiocese.  Kris's educational background includes studies at the Pontifical Atheneum of Sant'Anselmo all'Aventino in Rome and Creighton University. Alongside her husband, Bruce, to whom she has been married for over 40 years, Kris is an Oblate of St. Benedict. They have three children.
